We got up relatively early in preparation for our day in Cozumel and headed off the ship around 10 AM. We caught a cab and proceeded about two miles to the downtown shopping area. We wondered around for a bit and then went to a place for lunch that combines shopping and dining under one roof.
During lunch the electricity went out for the second time since we had been in the establishment...it stayed out throughout lunch...thank goodness for gas, candlelight, and portable lanterns. Look closely at the picture...really they were cooking by candlelight. The restaurant was full and they didn't miss a beat. They couldn't serve any frozen drinks but the cerveza was flowing.
