Home at Last

Friends, I am home at last. After being on planes from noon to 735 I finally got home. A very trying day for my patience. Sorry for yet another picture of a heineken bottle. Whenever I blog I feel the need to add a picture and this is all I had:-)

Alabama

there is a storm going thru atlanta and these stupid mother F@@@@@@ only put in enough fuel for us to cicle atl once. I am now in alabama and I am reasonably sure I am going to miss my 4.10 connecting flight unless that one got delated as well. This better not fuck up my upgrade to business class otherwise mean, angry skittles might have to come out. Check the blog to see where I end up next.

Still a Virgin

A puffy taco eater virgin that is... The place my neighbor recommended was pretty far away but one of my team members knew a place that was closer. Sad to say that due to long working hours I was unable to get to eat a puffy taco. There's always my next trip...

Pollys

Not even close friends. Its some little disco and retro bar. Looks cool but I have not been in yet. Check out the second picture. Since I was in my early 20's in te 80's I might have to take offence at the implication that the 80's were retro. Maybe the 70's. I am not that frggin old.

Adult kaoroke

forgive the spelling:-) its adsult kaoroke night at mad dogs. Here's a picture of the drunky cowboys tring to sing, albeit not a good picture. What makes it adult kaoroke you might ask. Apparently at some point in the night lap danes and pole dancing is involved. While skittles enjoys both of these activities he might want to leave before the nonsense ensues. Stayed tuned to the blog to see what happens cuz at this point I have no idea.

Texa Hospitality

I must admit I am digging the hospitality being shown by the peeps in Texas. Dude offerf me a buck for a smokey treat, of course I turned down the money and just gave him one. So instead of a dollar he bought me a tasty libation. I think I got the better end of the deal. Note to self. If this is how they roll in Texas make sure u have at least three packs of smokes on you at al times.

Hello Dolly

This is the remnants of Dolly when shew rolled thru San Antonio. Granted u cat tell much by the picture but not a bad little storm. Oh, and did I mention that lightening struck probably within a couple hundred yuardsa of me? Standing out side having a tasty smokey treat when I saw thw lightening and heard the boom immediately. Needless to say I was done smoking

Preparing for Dolly

There is this hurriccane called Dolly heading for Texas. From what I am told there should only be a significant amoiunt of rainfall if it hits Corpus Christi. However, if she turns a little bit and hits two hrs south of us that might be a different story. Tomorrow should be interesting. In honor of, or in preparatiion of, Dolly I have decided ti indulge in several beers at my new favorite bar in Texas. It's a British pub called Mad Dogs. All the staff is in kilts. Hilarious... The Alamo ( Part Deux )

As promised, my rant on the Alamo. So I learned something new yesterday, apparently I am working and getting educated on this trip:-) Did you know the battle for the Alamo lasted 90 minutes. Almost 200 people died in 90 minnutes for a piece of land half the size of a city block. Seriously, I would have let the Mexicans have it.

Happy 4th of July!

A big thanks to Sollys Tavern for bringing out those grills and letting us grill out at the bar. We love us some John! Once we finished our lovely Omaha Steak treats (thanks to Vergie, RJ, and Cynthia) for a run to the 703 earlier in the day; we then headed off to the roof of the Ellington to watch the fireworks. Thanks RJ for hosting us on the roof!
Just a shoutout to Tom; totally enjoyed the singing with our fellow rooftop partiers!

A Perfect Round...

Team Chimney Falls came in 4th place on Wednesday night; while it wasn't 1st place it was a good showing. We did have a perfect round in the crossword puzzle round 7.

Congrats to the team: Puff, RJ, LRican, T, JJ, Cynthia - thanks for everyones hard work that night...it was definitely a collaborative effort.
